Hotel Introduction

A 4-star boutique hotel, formerly shop-houses built in 1929, on the fringe of Chinatown. Inside, the hotel is decked out with a mix of old world Singapore architecture and nouveau chic style. Forget walking straight to your room, you??ll soon find yourself fascinated by not only the pictures of old-world Singapore adorning the walls, but also the collection of unique furniture pieces from the hotel owner??s private collection.

The rooms are welcome relief from your usual hotel fare as well. No two rooms are designed the same way and come equipped with broadband connections in every room, LCD televisions, clock radio CD players and digital phones. Some of the rooms have balconies looking out over Chinatown and on the top floor there are two rooms with outdoor baths in your own tropical roof garden.

The hotel also has its own bar and restaurant, Ember, that serves up an international menu with a Japanese twist. Whether it??s breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a snack to break up a hot day, you??ll get what you need here.

Hotel 1929 is located in the downtown Chinatown, half a mile from the business district, and approximately 15 miles from Changi International Airport.
